Nurturing Health and Hope in Jenin
Healthy Children Healthy Future Project, a grantee project of Healing Across the Divides, is
unwavering in its mission to support children in Jenin through the Healthy Children Healthy
Future Project. Despite ongoing city intrusions, the project is steadily progressing.
Project Initiation and Planning: The grantee team has meticulously developed an annual
Implementation Plan, providing a clear and purposeful roadmap for the project’s activities and
goals.
Community Engagement and Partnership Building: Recognizing the importance of local
support, the grantee organization has initiated discussions with potential partners in targeted
villages and cities. These early communications are crucial for building a strong, culturally
sensitive support network.
Responding to Immediate Needs: In response to Jenin’s challenging environment, Healthy
Children Healthy Future Project has planned emergency group sessions focusing on
psychological first aid for children. These sessions address critical areas such as trauma
coping, stress management, and fear alleviation.
Upcoming Summer Camp and Training: This month, the organization will launch its first
summer camp, serving as a platform for support and skill-building. A key component is training
specialists and activists in psychological first aid, equipping local community members with
valuable skills to support children’s mental health and resilience.
Healthy Children Healthy Future Project is making significant strides despite challenging
circumstances. The organization’s ability to adapt while maintaining focus on core objectives is
commendable. As the project unfolds, it promises to make a meaningful difference in the lives of
children in Jenin, offering hope and support in times of adversity. Healing Across the Divides
remains committed to supporting this crucial work and will continue to provide updates on this
inspiring initiative.
